Welcome

Sunday Worship For First-Time Guests:

What is your service like?  Our service in many ways is traditional but ultilizes multi-media and many contemporary elements.

When does worship begin?  We hold one service on Sunday morning in the Sanctuary beginning at 10:50

What should I wear? No need to dress up unless you want to.

What do I do with my children during worship?  Children are always welcome to our services.  A nursery is provided during worship for your convenience.  Children age 3 through 2nd grade may attend Children's Church which begins just after the Children's Time.

Will I be formally recognized during worship?  We ask all of our honored guests to register their attendance but it's up to you!  You will be greeted and welcomed with radical hospitality but never singled out during worship.

Meet people. Make friends.

Find a home.

Sunday, June 7th, our church will hold it’s first in-person worship service in many weeks. Because we are part of a larger system, I had to submit a re-opening plan to the District Superintendent to approve both the plan and date. While the bishop urges churches to delay a little longer, I feel it is time to begin the process.

As I’ve stated in an earlier email, some will stay home because they are not ready to come into the sanctuary with others. I understand and ask God’s blessings on you! Others will stay home because they feel the guidelines are too restrictive. I understand and ask God’s blessings on you! Please keep in mind live streaming on Facebook is going to continue as well as the FM 91.1 broadcast for those who want to sit in their car and listen.

For those who are ready to attend in-person worship AND prepared to follow the guidelines, I’ve attached the entire document but the following is a summary of how things will work:

    1. Worship in the sanctuary only- no small groups will meet at the church yet
    2. You will check in at a location where your name will be taken and your temperature. No one with a temp of 100 degrees are more will be admitted. You must wear a mask inside the sanctuary. Please bring your own but we will have a few on hand if you forgot yours or don’t have one.
    3. Only the main entrance to the sanctuary will be open but those needing to use the ramp may certainly do so.
    4. No choir
    5. Every other pew will be open but family units must still distance themselves 6 feet apart from others
    6. No one but staff is allowed on any part of the raised platform.
    7. The service will begin at 11am and will be no longer than 45 minutes.
    8. Restrooms are for “emergencies” only and only the main restroom will be open. All other areas of the church will be closed.

Again, some will feel these guideline are too weak while others will feel they are too stringent. The health and safety of everyone is of upmost importance but at least for now, it is time to begin the process of gathering together in our sanctuary. We will reevaluate each week and proceed accordingly.
